A2 Cultured Cow Ghee Made from Whole Curd
A2 Desi Cow Ghee is made at our Farm from milk of own cows grazing freely. After feeding calves, our Gwalas hand milk cows twice daily.
This Super Milk is then boiled , cooled at appropriate temperature, cultured with our own curds and kept for conversion into whole curd. The curd is then churned for deriving butter (makkhan) out, which is further heated and melted traditionally for giving you superior quality pure Desi Cow A2 Ghee.
Ayurveda states that Ghee is a “Yogavahi” – a catalytic agent that carries the medicinal properties of herbs into the seven “dhatus” or tissues of the body. Ghee pacifies “pitta” and “vata” and is acceptable in moderation for “kapha”. Ghee is Digestive and it nourishes “ojas”, “tejas” and “prana”. Ghee is good for improving memory and lubricates the connective tissues.

We, Saahi-Gir are a Desi (A2) Cow Breeding Farm in Rajasthan
In Sri Ganganagar City of Rajasthan bordering Pakistan, we are dedicated to producing nutritious milk and milk products by taking special care of our Indigenous Herd of Cows (Sahiwal, Gir, Rathi and Tharparkar). The farm is owned and maintained by a family who invests countless hours into making the best Ghee available to you. Our family is dedicated to adopt best farming and dairy practices to keep our Indigenous (A2) Cow Herd happy and healthy. We understand that it is in best interest of Cows to run Dairy Farm along with maintaining Agricultural Land. On our land, we specifically grow forage and fodder crops to be grazed freely by our Cows. We include plants such as Jowar (Sorghum), Javi (Oats), Bajri (Millets), Makka (Maize), Guar etc. Our Cow Yard provides us sufficient organic manure which helps us in cultivating fodder crops organically. Our land is irrigated through Distributory Rivers of Indira Gandhi Canal with water running from Himalayas through Punjab which is our bordering state. Due to these natural benefits, our agricultural belt is named as "Food Basket of India". This backward integration of our Cow Farming supports us in producing superior quality of "A2 Desi Cow Ghee"
Every time You shop at our farm's website, you've surely thought that your food is coming from somewhere nearby. And you're definitely right. A1 (Exotic Foreign Breeds) and A2 (Native Indian Breeds) Cows
Our Country is fast transforming into a “Big Consumer Market” and our buying and taste habits had rapidly changed after we integrated into the global economy in 1991.
So like many other Traditional Products “Desi Ghee” had also transformed its identity from “Home Made” to “Packaged Food”. Slowly and Slowly, we all got far away from the “Source of Ghee” – Milk !
Decades back there was no such term as A1 or A2 in India with respect to milk or products derived out of milk like Butter, Ghee, Mawa, Chaach/Chaas/ Lassi (Butter Milk) etc. Our mothers and grandmas used to make all these super-food at home.
In 1970s , “The White Revolution in India” was conceptualized with an aim to make our country self-dependent on milk production. This revolution was also termed as “Operation Flood”. As an economy, our country achieved a lot in terms of increasing milk production for its citizens and we transformed from a milk-deficient country to one of the largest milk producing countries of the world.
One of the features of “Operations Flood” was to adopt new and modern methods for milk cows. The project emphasized on imported breed of cows like Holstein Friesian and Jersey since foreign breeds (A1) gave higher milk yields though were not suited to Indian climatic conditions and were disease prone. With this change in our Country’s agricultural ecosystem, our “Native Indian Breeds” like Sahiwal, Gir, Tharparkar, Rathi , Hariana and others (A1) decimated. These foreign breed of cows which made entry into households of our farmers, were GMO (Genetically Modified Cows).
A little bit of your time will help you know more about difference between A1 and A2 type of cows and their milk – please experience Google Search.
